2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review

The brand that most likely vaulted the SUV into the garages of most Americans is set to release the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and they have come a long ways in many respects since the beginning. You probably need the best hair loss shampoo since they first came about.

The newest Grand Cherokee really is completely new in the structural and suspension departments, with architecture shared with ex-partner Mercedes-Benz's ML. Looks like Chrysler got something good in the divorce, and yes I too am wondering what new partner Fiat thinks about that. No cause for complaint about the result - offered in Laredo, Laredo X, Limited, and Overland trim levels with two- or four-wheel drive, the 2011 Grand Cherokee is the best yet. full review

Saab's First Electric Vehicle

Saab Automobile is taking its first step towards developing an all-electric vehicle with the Saab 9-3 ePower.

While not the first electric vehicle ever made, it is for Saab and I'm sure the testing over the next year will provide a need for many Saab execs to find the best under eye cream

Making its world premiere at the Paris International Motor Show later this month, the Saab 9-3 ePower is the prototype for a test fleet of 70 vehicles which will participate in extensive field trials in Sweden early next year. This all-electric family estate represents an important step forward for Saab’s pursuit of delivering cleaner and sustainable mobility solutions.

Jeep Celebrates 70 Years As the Original SUV

Jeep is synonymous with SUV and the legendary Jeep image. Before there were the sporty SUV's of today everyone remembers the old school Jeep and its position as the major off road vehicle of choice for those that wanted to go anywhere. Sports lovers taking the best daily multivitamin always found the Jeep to be a perfect travelign companion to their most out of the way destinations.

Jeep builds on its tradition of providing unique, iconic, versatile and capable vehicles for 2011, with its next-generation, premium flagship vehicle - the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee - and with significant improvements across the Jeep vehicle lineup.

"The Jeep brand's legendary heritage and capability has made it iconic - well-known and loved throughout the world," said Mike Manley, President and CEO - Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. 2011 Volvo S60 Review

the 2011 Volvo S60 is in a line that has typically offered great value for its class. The 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline six engine hides 300 horses and a galloping 325 lb.-ft. of torque under the hood. You won't feel like it has to work too much for you to get moving.

Volvo compensates for different buyers with three completely different chassis choices and everythign except a herpes cure. Consumers would be wise to test drive all three variations to insure their temperament is matched. A Touring, a Dynamic and a Four-C are all available on North American models. Both the Dynamic and the Touring are no cost options while the Four-C is an addition to the base model. For those unsure of which choice to make due to limited testing roadways, the Touring model is the one that is tuned to provide the smoothest ride on poor road surfaces.

The S60 is competitively priced within its class at $37,700 and provides reasonable fuel economy in this new energy conscious world with 18 mpg anticipated in city driving and 26 mpg projected for the highway. full review

2011 Scion tC

If you have never heard of the Scion tC model you are not alone. I certainly am not real familiar with it, and if you had to guess would you have guessed it is a Toyota car? Well...maybe you would have, but let's see what the Scion is all about.

Jack Hollis, vice president of Scion, says Scion is “a non-traditional, underground brand, a huge supporter of up-and-coming artists and a host of 1,500 events a year”.

Yeah...I suppose that is relevant. Aimed at "trendsetters" apparently and dudes that love some Swisher Sweets probably.

Scion, a line of vehicles from Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. aimed at trend-setting younger buyers, is the first new brand from Toyota since the debut of Lexus in 1989. Unveiled by TMS in March 2002, Scion’s line of vehicles is aimed at a new generation of consumers who actively seek out the latest trends in style and innovation. Some of the innovations include marketing techniques, new approaches to product styling, versatility, and the sales process. 800,000 Scions are on the road. Full review

2011 Ford Mustang Review

Not to be outdone by the Chevy Camero, Ford went back and beefed up their Ford Mustang for 2011. One of the American classic automobiles, the Ford Mustang is an icon in the American auto industry.

When the latest incarnation of Chevy's Camaro was announced, in 2009 for model year 2010, the V6 had 304 horsepower and the V8 had 400 -- or 426 with a stick. At the time, the Ford Mustang had a paltry 210 in V6 trim, and 315 max for the V8. Would Ford match Chevy?

Of course. Development times being what they are (shorter than ever!), it took until just about… now! So, after some evolutionary changes last year -- refreshed styling and, most noteworthy, a much-improved interior, the Mustang's engine compartment gets the bulk of attention for 2011. The old 4.0-liter sohc V6 has been replaced by a new version of Ford's 3.7-liter engine, in which dual overhead cams and continuously-variable cam phasing on all help to make more power -- now 305 hp -- and improve fuel economy and lower emissions. Similar technology allows the all-now 5.0-liter V8 to make 412 horsepower, something not seen out of the old and completely-unrelated pushrod 5.0 without serious tuning work. For both engines, transmissions are six-speed whether manual or automatic, further improving performance and economy.

Alcohol and Driveing DO Mix?

Saw this title today and had to read the article. It is a clever title, but shocking at the same time. Clearly this isn't something like a promotion of drunken driving I assume from a common sense standpoint, but I had to read it anyways just to make sure obviously. Maybe it is just an elaborate green shopping promotion?

Take a look at the full article yourself and see if they really are intending for it to come off that way .

It actually does have way more to do with green energy, gasoline, and oil that it has to do with drunk driving, which it has nothing to do with.

20101 AllState America's Best Drivers

The annual report ranking America's 200 largest cities in terms of car collision frequency to identify which cities have the safest drivers has been released. The safest city to drive in according to the report is Fort Collins, Colorado. According to the report, the average driver in Fort Collins will experience an auto collision every 14.5 years, which is 31.2 percent less likely than the national average.

Auto crashes in general have declined over the last few years, but crash fatalities still average around an alarming 35,000 every year despite technological advances, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Buy a Hansgrohe faucet.

"Human error is the biggest cause of accidents. It is vital for us to educate drivers across the country on the importance of being tolerant and attentive behind the wheel," said London Bradley, Territory Sales Leader for Allstate's Wisconsin Territory. Milwaukee entered at 42 on the list while Madison, WI entered at 26.

2011 Ford Fiesta SEL Review

The Ford Fiesta has long been either goofy hatchback that you really didn't want to be seen in, or it was considered a good deal. the newest version of the Fiesta has not only become a very economical car fuel-wise, but it has done a little bit to become sleeker, but the big seller is the 36.3 MPG overall with 38 MPG on the highway. Having to sell used books just to buy gas for a trip home to con mom and dad for some cash has never gone further.

Ford is resurging, and one of the reasons for this is that its cars are good and make sense. Take the new Fiesta for example. The old Fiesta was a standard squareish hatchback with minimal performance and not-that-great economy. But oh, how the Ford designers and engineers have worked on this new one.

The 2011 Fiesta looks good, has decent performance (for an economy car) and knows how to behave itself, whether on an Interstate or suburban roads. full review
